Transition into venture capital: Apply to Supernovas Women2Invest 2026 for women in STEAM

The Women2Invest programme enables women in STEAM to transition into venture capital through a 15-week online programme with immersive, hands-on learning.

Women remain significantly underrepresented in venture capital across Europe, despite growing awareness of the need for greater diversity in investment. This gap limits not only equal access to career opportunities but also the range of perspectives shaping funding decisions and innovation.

At EIT Community Supernovas, we are addressing this challenge through Women2Invest, our flagship programme designed exclusively for women in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics) who are ready to transition into venture capital (VC). Women2Invest equips participants with the knowledge, networks, and practical experience needed to enter and succeed in the investment ecosystem.

The programme is developed in collaboration with IE University, one of Europe’s leading higher education institutions.

Since its launch in 2022, Supernovas has trained 667 women across Europe, equipping them with practical tools, technical knowledge, and career development support to succeed in venture capital.

Who is Women2Invest for?

Women2Invest is designed for women from STEAM backgrounds who are motivated to explore or transition into venture capital.

The programme is particularly suited for:

  • Women with a STEAM academic background (up to 7 years post-graduation)
  • Women at an early stage of their careers who are looking to transition into venture capital
  • Women with little to no prior experience in VC but a strong interest in the field
  • Women who are curious, motivated, and eager to build a career in the investment ecosystem

Participants should be ready to engage in a dynamic learning environment and commit time to developing both technical knowledge and industry connections.

What participants gain

Participants will benefit from:

  • A comprehensive introduction to venture capital, suitable for participants starting from any background
  • Practical, hands-on and immersive learning through live online sessions, case studies, applied assignments, simulated investment processes, and collaborative group work
  • Direct insights from experienced VC professionals and industry experts
  • Access to a strong, pan-European network of women entering and advancing in VC
  • The opportunity to be matched with leading VC funds for a paid internship
  • Dedicated career guidance to facilitate entry into the investment ecosystem

Flexible, high-impact learning experience

The programme is scheduled to run from September to December 2026 (dates subject to final confirmation). Participants are expected to dedicate approximately five hours per week, making it compatible with ongoing professional commitments.

All learning takes place via a dedicated online platform, providing access to curated materials, live sessions, and practical tools that can be applied immediately in real investment contexts.

Strengthening Europe’s innovation ecosystem

By enabling more women to enter venture capital, Women2Invest contributes to building a more inclusive and effective innovation ecosystem across Europe. Increasing diversity among investors is key to unlocking untapped talent, supporting a broader range of founders, and driving sustainable economic growth.
