On Wednesday, 9 September, EIT Community Supernovas will bring investors together in London for an evening focused on deep tech and venture capital.
The event will bring together investors for an in-depth conversation on deep tech investing, the opportunities and challenges of backing complex technologies, and the role of diverse perspectives in shaping the future of venture capital.
Meet the panelists
We are pleased to welcome:
- Aleksandra Pedraszewska, Partner at Vastpoint
- Aurelia Lichtenstein, Co-Founder at Proximo Ventures
- Dr Claire Thorne, Venture Partner at Deep Science Ventures
The conversation will be moderated by Daniela Duca, PhD, Deep Tech Investor at Samos Investments and Supernovas Ambassador in the UK, who is bringing the event to life together with our partners.
Exploring deep tech in investment
Deep tech investing presents a distinct set of opportunities and challenges. How do investors assess technologies that may require significant development before reaching the market? How can technical complexity be balanced with commercial potential? And what does it take to identify teams capable of turning breakthrough technologies into scalable businesses?
The panel will explore these questions and more, offering an opportunity to exchange perspectives and experiences with investors working at the intersection of technology and venture capital.
Part of the Aspiring Female Partners series
The event is part of the Aspiring Female Partners series, born from a simple but urgent mission: to see more women in decision-making roles in venture capital.
The series creates space for investors to have meaningful conversations, exchange experiences and connect with others shaping the future of the investment ecosystem.
While the series focuses on increasing women’s representation in VC decision-making, women and men who invest in startups are welcome.
