Internship & Job Placement Opportunities
Women2Invest provides participants with real-world exposure to venture capital and potential career opportunities.
Participants that:
- Perform strongly in the training programme, and
- Meet the requirements of participating VC or corporate funds
may be shortlisted for interviews and considered for paid internships.
Internship highlights:
- Paid: At least the minimum legal wage in the host country
- Duration: Minimum of 2 months
- Focus: Investment-related roles
Internship placements are not guaranteed, but the programme is structured to maximize your chances through hands-on training and targeted matching with VC and corporate investment funds

FAQ
Who is the Women2Invest programme for?
The programme is designed for women with a STEAM background in science, technology, engineering, arts, or mathematics at the undergraduate, master’s, or PhD level.
Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be in the final year of studies or have graduated:

- Up to 7 years ago (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
- Up to 2 years ago (PhD)
- Have full command of English, as the training is delivered entirely in this language
- Have a genuine interest in venture capital and startups
- Be curious, driven, detail-oriented, and motivated to learn
The programme welcomes applications from:
- Women outside of major entrepreneurial hubs or big cities
- Underrepresented minority groups
- Residents of countries covered by the EIT Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS)
Which nationalities are eligible to apply?
Applicants must hold a valid passport or full residency permit from either one of the 27 EU Member States or a Horizon Europe Associated Country. Associated countries include Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Faroe Islands, Georgia, Iceland, Israel, Kosovo*, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.
*The asterisk reflects the EU’s standard disclaimer on Kosovo’s political status. For Horizon Europe and this programme, Kosovo is considered eligible. Please note that if your residency permit does not include a work permit, this may limit your ability to participate in the internship component of the programme.
What is the format of the programme?
The programme is delivered as an online bootcamp, enabling participants to join remotely from anywhere. It combines live online lectures, case studies, practical assignments, group and individual work, and sessions with experienced practitioners, while also offering networking opportunities and exposure to the venture capital ecosystem. The expected time commitment is approximately 5 hours per week.
When does the next cohort start?
The next cohort of the Women2Invest programme starts on September 2026, the application will be open from April 2026 to June 2026.
How long is the programme?
The training lasts for approximately 15 weeks.
Is there an internship or job placement?
Yes. Participants who perform strongly in the training programme and meet the requirements of participating VC or corporate funds may be shortlisted for interviews and potentially offered paid internships. These internships are paid (at least the minimum legal wage in the host country), last for a minimum of two months, and focus on investment-related roles. While placements are not guaranteed, the programme is designed to maximize participants’ chances through training and targeted fund matching.
Do I need experience in venture capital to participate?
No prior experience in venture capital is required. A strong interest in investment and startups, along with a willingness to learn, is all you need to apply.
